In 1969 my family and I sailed on the ss Nieuw Amsterdam from New York to Rotterdam

Utrecht was liberated on May 7, 1945. We just celebrated 80 years of freedom.

I took pictures of my hometown from places where my grandfather stood in the 1930s and 1940s.

Sometimes I discover places in old family photo albums where we have also been. It is fun to spot the similarities and differences.

My first trip to Kenya was in 1987. I have visited this beautiful country 3 times after that.
